Fluid MSP, a lower-middle-market managed service provider (or "MSP") chose to engage CAPTARGET for an initial 6 month commitment.
Fluid has a goal of growing by ~$10m EBITDA in the next 24 months, largely achieved through the acquisition of small synergistic MSPs with EBITDA between $500k and $3m.
The challenge? Fluid did not have an internal deal team or dedicated origination resource. Due to current valuations amongst MSPs, Fluid wanted to minimize the cost of identifying potential acquisitions. And because they were searching downmarket, they knew they would have to build a robust pipeline as quality and fit typically decrease as target company size shrinks.
